Mechanical Engineer | $55–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our applied engineering team as a contractor. This is a generalist role ideal for engineers who thrive across multiple disciplines and enjoy solving complex mechanical challenges in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine detailed 3D CAD models using industry-standard tools
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Apply conceptual knowledge of stress analysis and FEA to support design decisions
• Produce and maintain thorough technical documentation, including specs and tolerances
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions on time

Required Skills & Tools

• Proficiency in one or more CAD platforms: SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Foundational understanding of FEA and structural analysis concepts
• Experience creating clear, precise technical documentation

Compensation

This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate of $55–$100/hr, depending on experience and expertise.
