We are seeking an experienced Medical Auditor to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented coding and audit specialist with a strong background in outpatient professional fee coding and academic medical center environments. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving coding accuracy, and managing audit programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough coding audits focused on outpatient professional fee services
• Identify coding discrepancies and provide actionable feedback to clinical and administrative staff
• Develop, manage, and refine audit programs to ensure ongoing compliance
• Apply expertise in academic medical center workflows and coding standards
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to stakeholders
• Stay current with evolving coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Outpatient Professional Fee Coding — deep working knowledge required
• Coding Auditing — proven experience conducting medical coding audits
• Academic Medical Center Experience — familiarity with complex AMC environments
• Audit Program Management — ability to design and oversee end-to-end audit initiatives
