Role Overview
- Evaluate AI-generated reproductions of academic research papers
- Read and critically assess original papers alongside agent-generated reproduction artifacts
- Rank reproduction attempts and provide detailed written justifications
Requirements
- PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field
- 2+ publications in top-tier ML/AI venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or equivalent)
- Strong research background in one or more of: deep learning, generative AI/LLMs, representation learning, reinforcement learning, optimization, computer vision, or NLP
- Proven ability to critically evaluate research papers for technical correctness and methodological soundness
- Strong mathematical and statistical foundations
- Excellent written communication and remote collaboration skills
- Reliable desktop/laptop with a strong internet connection
- Ability to start immediately
Nice to Have
- Experience as a research scientist, ML researcher, or university faculty member
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
