Turing is seeking PhD-level Machine Learning, AI, and Statistics experts to evaluate AI-generated research paper reproductions. This is a fully remote freelance opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge frontier AI research alongside leading LLM companies.

Role Overview

• Evaluate AI-generated reproductions of academic research papers
• Read and critically assess original papers alongside agent-generated reproduction artifacts
• Rank reproduction attempts and provide detailed written justifications

Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field
• 2+ publications in top-tier ML/AI venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or equivalent)
• Strong research background in one or more of: deep learning, generative AI/LLMs, representation learning, reinforcement learning, optimization, computer vision, or NLP
• Proven ability to critically evaluate research papers for technical correctness and methodological soundness
• Strong mathematical and statistical foundations
• Excellent written communication and remote collaboration skills
• Reliable desktop/laptop with a strong internet connection
• Ability to start immediately

Nice to Have

• Experience as a research scientist, ML researcher, or university faculty member
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
