Molecular Biology Expert | $70–120/hr | Remote (UK)

Join a leading AI lab's GenAI team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of life-science AI models. A small, elite cohort of molecular biologists is being assembled to design, review, and evaluate DNA/RNA sequences that form the ground truth for cutting-edge AI training data.

What You'll Do

• Design and review DNA/RNA sequences and constructs, including primers, plasmids, RNAs, and repair templates, drawing on your professional laboratory experience.
• Author challenging, domain-grounded tasks and produce accurate, well-documented solutions that serve as expert-level ground truth.
• Evaluate AI model outputs against expert-quality solutions, providing clear written feedback on correctness, scientific rigor, and reasoning quality.
• Collaborate with fellow subject-matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy across all training data.

Who We're Looking For

• A practicing or recently practicing molecular biologist with hands-on experience designing nucleic-acid sequences prior to experiments.
• A strong peer-reviewed publication record — work in venues such as Nature, bioRxiv, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, or eLife is especially valued. Please include publication links with your application.
• Advanced degree (PhD strongly preferred) in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, synthetic biology, bioengineering, or a related life-science discipline.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly justify design decisions.

Scope & Timeline

This engagement involves approximately 50–100 design tasks over an initial 2–3 week period, with strong potential to extend. The program is targeting a fast start — onboarding is aimed to begin this week.
