MS Excel Expert / Data Annotator | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking a detail-oriented MS Excel Expert to support data annotation, cleaning, validation, and reporting activities for cutting-edge AI projects. This is an 8-week contractor engagement requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week with at least 4 hours of daily overlap with PST.

Key Responsibilities

• Annotate, clean, structure, and validate large datasets using Microsoft Excel.
• Perform advanced Excel operations including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Advanced Filters, Nested Formulas, and Text Functions.
• Review datasets for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate data quality issues promptly.
• Prepare reports, trackers, and productivity summaries.
• Follow SOPs, annotation guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with QA teams and project managers to meet deadlines.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel — mandatory.
• 2–4 years of experience in data annotation, data operations, MIS reporting, back-office processing, or Excel-heavy roles.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheet formulas and data manipulation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Sheets, CSV handling, Power Query, Macros, or VBA.
• Bachelor's degree; Excel or Data Analytics certification is a plus.
