Turing is seeking trained music professionals to evaluate and annotate AI-generated audio data for a fast-moving frontier AI research project. This is a short, flexible engagement ideal for musicians, audio engineers, or music producers looking to contribute to cutting-edge AI development.

Project Details

• Flexible hours across a 2-day project window
• Earn up to ~$150–$160 with a full push across both days
• ~15-minute qualifying assessment required before onboarding
• Fully remote — paid in USD
• Possible extension for strong performers

What You'll Do

• Listen to short audio clips and identify the instrument family (Strings, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, Keyboard, etc.)
• Identify the specific instrument heard in each clip
• Use provided audio references to guide annotation decisions
• Follow clear annotation guidelines to deliver consistent, accurate, high-quality work

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in music performance, production, audio engineering, or a similar discipline
• A trained ear with a strong ability to recognize instruments by sound
• Strong English communication skills
• Comfortable with focused, repetitive listening tasks and independent remote work
• Bonus: Experience with transcription, remixing, music information retrieval, or AI/data annotation
