Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to hire experienced musicians and audio professionals to evaluate generative musical AI models. If you have a strong background in music production, theory, and lyric writing — and are fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English — this is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI-generated music.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated lyrics, voice output, and overall musical quality
• Score and assess the quality of musical training data across various categories
• Apply your expertise in writing and understanding music in Mandarin Chinese
• Follow and interpret project directions provided in English

Ideal Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer
• Strong understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyric composition
• College degree in music (performance, theory, and/or lyrics preferred)
• Demonstrated experience writing lyrical music in Mandarin Chinese
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Up to 6 months
• Commitment: Part-time, 10+ hours per week
• Rate: $39/hr
