Network Lab Engineer II | $55–75/hr | Menlo Park, CA (On-Site)

Join a fast-paced, high-impact team as a Network Lab Engineer II, where you'll be responsible for bringing up and maintaining a cutting-edge network lab environment. You'll work closely with software engineering teams to ensure reliable infrastructure for testing and validation of network equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate and troubleshoot new network equipment in a lab setting
• Coordinate delivery and installation of new hardware and products
• Test and validate switch testbeds for software engineering teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date lab inventory records
• Ensure a stable and reliable network lab environment for cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a network or systems engineering role
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and lab equipment
• Strong understanding of IP addressing (DHCP, SLAAC, Static IP), VLANs, and subnets
• Experience with Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS
• Knowledge of network management protocols: SSH, Telnet, HTTP/HTTPS
• Understanding of break/fix concepts, console access, and SCM modules
• Basic knowledge of power supply requirements (PSU/PDU/Voltage)
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a dedicated network lab environment
• Knowledge of lab safety procedures and best practices
