Neuromorphic ML Expert | $150–200/hr | Worldwide Remote

AFTERQUERY is seeking a highly skilled machine learning researcher or engineer with deep expertise in neuromorphic computing and brain-inspired AI systems. This is a short-term, project-based remote role spanning 2–3 weeks, offering exceptional compensation and meaningful contributions to cutting-edge neuromorphic AI research.

Work is fully asynchronous, assigned on a project-by-project basis, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for accepted projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine spiking neural networks (SNNs) for real-world applications
• Design hardware-aware ML models optimized for neuromorphic architectures
• Conduct applied research in energy-efficient, event-driven computing
• Tackle technical tasks at the intersection of machine learning and neuromorphic hardware

Required Qualifications

• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed venue (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ISSCC, or equivalent)
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Neuroscience, or a related quantitative field
• Demonstrated expertise in neuromorphic computing, spiking neural networks, or brain-inspired AI architectures
• Strong independent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously on complex technical tasks
