News Analyst / Journalist | $70–110/hr | Worldwide Remote | Short-Term Contract

Mercor is seeking experienced News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists to evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. This is a unique opportunity to apply your editorial expertise to shape the future of AI-generated journalism — all from a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated news stories, analyses, scripts, and journalistic content for quality, accuracy, and editorial soundness.
• Conduct head-to-head comparisons of AI-generated responses based on reporting rigor, clarity, and narrative quality.
• Review journalistic scenarios covering story selection, source evaluation, fact interpretation, and presentation — then provide detailed expert feedback.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Reporter, News Anchor, Staff Writer, Journalist, or a closely related news/journalism role.
• Demonstrated experience writing, narrating, or analyzing news content for print, broadcast, or digital media.
• Availability to commit 20+ hours per week during the project period.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Project Details

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
• Payment: Task-based initially; experts who complete their first task on time will qualify for hourly pay for the remainder of the project.
