Join Mercor as an Optimization Specialist, working with a leading AI lab to design and implement advanced optimization models for real-world scheduling, routing, and allocation challenges. This contract role is ideal for professionals with expertise in operations research, applied mathematics, or computer science who want to impact AI-driven systems at scale.

• Develop scalable optimization pipelines using Python and libraries such as CVXPY, OR-Tools, CPLEX, SciPy, NumPy, and pandas.
• Translate AI lab requirements into robust mathematical programming solutions (MILP, CP, heuristics).
• Benchmark, validate, and stress-test models with real-world datasets.
• Design heuristics and approximation methods for large-scale, time-sensitive workloads.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to integrate optimization into production systems.
• Document models and workflows for reproducibility and reliability.
