Patent Attorney Expert | $95–$140/hr | Worldwide Remote | Async Contract

AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced patent attorneys to help build claim drafting and prosecution scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate and test model judgment. This is a flexible, fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay.

What You'll Do

• Develop realistic and nuanced claim drafting scenarios for AI model evaluation
• Create patent prosecution situations that test legal and technical reasoning
• Document office action responses and prior art analysis with clear, precise written reasoning
• Contribute to the development of high-quality legal benchmarks used by leading AI research organizations

Required Qualifications

• Licensed attorney admitted to a state bar and registered to practice before the USPTO
• 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution or patent litigation
• Strong depth in claim drafting, office action responses, and prior art analysis
• Excellent written English skills for articulating complex legal and technical reasoning
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

Compensation & Logistics

• Rate: $95–$140/hr depending on experience
• Schedule: Fully asynchronous — work on your own time
• Payment: Paid weekly
• Location: 100% remote, open worldwide
