Pharmacy Technician | $28–35/hr | Remote in US

Join our healthcare team as a skilled Pharmacy Technician specializing in Prior Authorization (PA). This part-time, flexible role (20 hours/week) is ideal for professionals passionate about ensuring patients receive timely access to medications and medical services while maintaining compliance and efficiency.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and track prior authorization requests for medications, procedures, and equipment according to payer requirements.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather documentation and expedite approvals.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage before initiating PA processes.
• Maintain accurate records of submissions, approvals, denials, and appeals using EMR or pharmacy systems.
• Assist with denials and appeals, including resubmissions and peer-to-peer reviews.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and payer policies.
• Required Qualifications:
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or valid state license.
• 1–3 years of experience in pharmacy, insurance, or healthcare settings with a focus on prior authorizations.
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems, PBM platforms, and payer portals.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible 20-hour weekly schedule.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in specialty pharmacy or managed care.
• Familiarity with Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
• Knowledge of high-cost or specialty medications requiring complex PA.
