AFTERQUERY is seeking experienced philosophers to help build the argument analysis and ethical reasoning scenarios that frontier AI labs rely on to evaluate model judgment. This is a flexible, fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay — ideal for academics, researchers, or independent philosophers looking to apply their expertise in a cutting-edge AI context.

What You'll Do

• Develop and evaluate complex argument analysis tasks and ethical reasoning scenarios
• Construct philosophical prompts and test cases used to assess AI model judgment
• Apply rigorous philosophical methodology to ensure accuracy, depth, and clarity
• Collaborate asynchronously with a team focused on AI safety and model evaluation

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MA, PhD, or equivalent) in Philosophy or a closely related field
• 2+ years of experience in teaching, academic research, or published philosophical work
• Demonstrated depth in at least one area: ethics, epistemology, logic, or philosophy of mind
• Excellent written English with the ability to construct and evaluate nuanced arguments clearly
• Availability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week

• Rate: $50–$100/hr (based on experience)
