About the Role

As a Physics Expert, you will apply advanced theoretical frameworks to solve challenging problems in biological and statistical physics. You will work within a research-focused domain, leveraging your expertise to deliver high-quality analytical and computational insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in stochastic two-state Markov processes with gamma-distributed waiting times to model complex biological systems.
• Utilize the Euler-Lotka equation and renewal theory in the context of population dynamics and cell division research.
• Conduct perturbative expansion analyses in small division-noise variance scenarios.
• Perform first-passage-time analysis to characterize stochastic biological processes.
• Collaborate with research teams to produce rigorous, publication-quality results.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong foundation in Physics, with specialization in biophysics and/or statistical physics.
• Proficiency in stochastic two-state Markov processes with gamma-distributed waiting times.
• Experience with the Euler-Lotka equation and its applications.
• Familiarity with perturbative expansion methods in small-noise regimes.
• Solid understanding of renewal theory and first-passage-time analysis.

Compensation

$80–$160 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
