MICRO1 is seeking a highly skilled Physics Expert specializing in Condensed Matter and Magnetic Materials to join a cutting-edge scientific research initiative. This is a fully remote contractor role ideal for a researcher with deep expertise in magnetic structure analysis and related computational methods.

Role Overview

As a domain expert in condensed matter physics, you will apply advanced knowledge of magnetic structures, symmetry analysis, and phase classification to support high-impact research projects. You will work independently and collaboratively to deliver precise, well-reasoned scientific insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic structure factor calculations for complex material systems
• Conduct propagation-vector analysis to characterize magnetic ordering
• Identify and apply magnetic space groups using tools such as MAGNDATA
• Classify materials into antiferromagnetic (AFM) and ferromagnetic (FM) phases
• Contribute expert-level knowledge to ongoing condensed matter and materials science research

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong foundation in condensed matter physics and magnetic materials
• Proficiency in magnetic structure factor and propagation-vector methodologies
• Experience with MAGNDATA or equivalent magnetic symmetry databases
• Ability to distinguish and classify AFM/FM magnetic phases accurately
• Excellent analytical and scientific communication skills

This is a contractor engagement with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $80 to $160/hr, commensurate with experience and expertise.
