Role Overview
As a Platform Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and scalability of Mercor's core systems, focusing on database architecture and performance. You will be responsible for anticipating and solving storage challenges, particularly with RDBMS and document stores, and advocating for best practices internally.

• Design and optimize schemas for SQL and NoSQL databases
• Scale and enhance database performance through indexing, partitioning, and sharding
• Work with cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Promote internal best practices for reliability and scalability

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and Terraform
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $185,000–$300,000
• Performance bonuses up to 40% of base
• $10,000 referral bonuses
