Plumber Expert | $50–$90/hr | Remote (US) | Async Contract

AFTERQUERY is seeking licensed, experienced plumbers to help build diagnostic and code compliance scenarios used by frontier AI labs to evaluate model judgment on real-world trade work. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role with weekly pay.

In this role, you will craft realistic plumbing diagnosis challenges and code compliance situations that test AI reasoning against the standards and judgment calls professionals encounter in the field every day. Your hands-on expertise directly shapes how AI systems understand skilled trade work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop plumbing diagnostic scenarios grounded in real field experience
• Create code compliance challenges referencing UPC, IPC, or equivalent standards
• Document clear, well-reasoned written explanations of diagnostic logic
• Commit a minimum of 10 hours per week to scenario development tasks

Required Qualifications

• Active Journeyman or Master Plumber license in a US state or jurisdiction
• 2+ years of field experience beyond apprenticeship
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes such as UPC or IPC
• Strong written English skills for documenting technical reasoning clearly
• Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, remote environment
