Police Supervision Expert | $75–105/hr | Worldwide Remote
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to advance next-generation machine learning systems. We're seeking experienced law enforcement supervisors to contribute their real-world expertise to cutting-edge AI research through scenario creation and validation work—fully remote and on your own schedule.
About the Role
Apply your professional law enforcement supervision experience to help train advanced AI systems. You'll create realistic scenarios, evaluate AI responses, and provide expert feedback—all while working independently from anywhere in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Write tasks and scenarios reflecting real-world law enforcement supervision based on your professional experience
- Create realistic situations involving shift management, resource allocation, incident command, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Develop scenarios for coordinating emergency responses, managing patrol operations, conducting internal investigations, training subordinates, and implementing department policies
- Review and evaluate AI responses to law enforcement supervision queries for accuracy and professional standards
- Provide detailed feedback on police and detective supervision scenarios to improve AI training
Ideal Qualifications
- 4+ years professional experience as a first-line supervisor, sergeant, lieutenant, or detective supervisor in government law enforcement agencies (14 years preferred)
- Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities
- Proficient with computers and navigating various software systems
- Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills
- Ability to pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz
Work Details
- Fully remote and asynchronous—complete work on your own schedule
- Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours
- Project duration: approximately 6 weeks, starting immediately
- Independent contractor engagement through Mercor
- Hourly compensation paid weekly via Stripe Connect
