Policy Administration & Compliance Expert | $55–$75/hr | Worldwide Remote | Part-Time Contract

Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in insurance policy administration and compliance. In this role, you will design and build long-horizon, real-world administrative and compliance tasks — each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades AI agent performance against verifiable ground truth. This is a focused, high-impact role requiring deep domain expertise and strong analytical thinking.

What You'll Do

You will build challenging, scenario-based tasks across key areas of insurance operations, including:

  • Policy Lifecycle: Endorsements with required fields and correct premium impact, renewals against renewal guidelines, cancellations with state-required notice periods, and premium audits tied to source exposure data.
  • Certificates & Documents: COI issuance against contract requirements, policy form and wording review against a defined issue list.
  • Regulatory Compliance: State DOI filings with required exhibits, and market conduct exam responses with ground-truth documented answers.

All tasks must have checkable, verifiable answers — no open-ended essays or subjective judgment calls. Expect long, focused work sessions to produce high-quality scenarios.

Who We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in policy administration, insurance operations, or insurance compliance at a carrier, MGA, or broker.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: endorsement and renewal processing, premium audit practice, COI issuance and tracking, state DOI filings and market conduct, policy form and wording review, or a policy admin platform such as Guidewire PolicyCenter, Duck Creek, AMS360, EPIC, or carrier systems.
  • Comfortable reading and producing policy admin artifacts: endorsements, renewal packages, COIs, DOI filings, and audit workpapers.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate step-by-step reasoning and encode it into deterministic rubrics.
  • AINS, CPCU, or equivalent designation is a plus.

Compensation

$55–$75/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors are recognized and promoted based on task quality and throughput.

How to apply for this role
  • Upload your resume — keep it up-to-date and in English. Mercor will auto-fill your profile from it.
  • Complete the AI interview — a 15-minute conversation about your experience. Be ready to discuss specific projects and challenges you've solved.
  • Submit your application — only about 20% of applicants finish all the steps, so completing yours puts you well ahead.
