Political Bias Expert – Remote (AI Research & Critical Thinking Role)
Pay: $70/hour • Flexible 20–30 hours/week • Remote Contract
Mercor is hiring Political Bias Experts to join a leading AI research lab tackling one of the most complex challenges in artificial intelligence — ensuring models reason with clarity, fairness, and accuracy on politically sensitive and culturally charged topics.

Bias & Reasoning Analysis: Evaluate political reasoning generated by AI, identifying both overt and subtle bias.
Framework Development: Contribute to guidelines that help AI handle controversial issues with neutrality and precision.
Evidence-Based Review: Provide structured feedback to align AI outputs with facts and logical reasoning.
Cross-Spectrum Thinking: Collaborate with researchers to ensure AI can engage fairly across diverse political viewpoints.
Advanced degree in political science, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, or related field — or equivalent independent research experience.
Proven ability to dissect complex political or ideological arguments.
Strong writing skills: clear, concise, and persuasive.
Demonstrated intellectual integrity and critical thinking expertise.
Comfort working with controversial or ideologically diverse material.
Work on the front lines of AI ethics, political bias detection, and responsible AI development.
Flexible, fully remote contract role with competitive hourly pay.
