Product Designer Specialist | $90–140/hr | Worldwide Remote

We're looking for a seasoned Product Designer Specialist to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for a strategic, detail-oriented designer who can balance creativity with analytical thinking — crafting exceptional user experiences while clearly articulating design decisions and trade-offs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design efforts, from concept through high-fidelity prototypes
• Develop and communicate a clear design strategy aligned with product and business goals
• Create interactive prototypes using Figma to validate ideas and gather feedback
• Provide well-reasoned design rationale to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Conduct trade-off analysis to evaluate design decisions against technical, business, and user constraints
• Produce clear, concise analytical writing to document design thinking and recommendations

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in product design principles and best practices
• Experience with design strategy at a product or systems level
• Advanced skills in Figma for prototyping and design collaboration
• Ability to articulate design rationale and navigate complex trade-offs
• Excellent written communication and analytical documentation skills
