AFTERQUERY is seeking a highly skilled machine learning professional with deep expertise in proteomics for a focused, project-based engagement over the next 2–3 weeks. Work is fully remote and asynchronous, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week for the projects you accept. Tasks are assigned on a project-by-project basis, giving you flexibility while contributing to impactful scientific work.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine machine learning models applied to proteomics data
• Perform data analysis on real protein and mass spectrometry datasets
• Conduct research tasks bridging computational methods and biological datasets
• Work independently on well-defined technical deliverables

Required Qualifications

• Published researcher with at least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal
• Demonstrated expertise in both machine learning and proteomics (e.g., mass spectrometry data, protein databases, or related biological datasets)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Master's or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field
