AFTERQUERY is seeking highly skilled ML, systems, and distributed systems engineers with deep, internals-level PyTorch expertise for paid contract work under Project Torch. This is a focused engagement involving up to three tasks, compensated at $150 per task, with a potential performance bonus upon successful completion.

About the Work

This contract role is ideal for engineers who have gone beyond surface-level PyTorch usage and have hands-on experience working with its internals. You will be tackling technically demanding tasks that require a thorough understanding of PyTorch's underlying architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Full-time professional or research experience working with PyTorch
• Demonstrated internals-level PyTorch expertise, such as:
  • Custom autograd functions
  • Tensor or CUDA extensions
  • ATen-level development
• Access to suitable hardware — a GPU-enabled local machine or cloud instance

Compensation

• $75/hr (equivalent to $150/task)
• Up to 3 tasks available
• Bonus potential upon full completion
