QC and Code Expert (Legal) at Turing

QC and Code Expert (Legal) | Contractor | Up to 40 hrs/week | Worldwide Remote

Turing is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its AI training initiative as a QC and Code Expert. In this role, you will create, review, and refine legal tasks that help advance frontier AI model capabilities — bringing your real-world legal expertise to shape high-quality AI outputs.

This is a short-term contractor engagement (up to 8 weeks) requiring at least 4 hours per day with overlap during PST business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-difficulty expert legal tasks and gold-standard solutions.
• Review and calibrate team members' outputs, maintaining day-to-day quality standards.
• Escalate edge cases and rubric ambiguities to the Functional SME Lead.
• Analyze legal issues, apply relevant laws and principles, and refine AI-generated outputs for accuracy and clarity.

Requirements

• 5–15 years of legal practice experience at the Senior Associate, Counsel, or equivalent level (law firm or corporate legal department).
• Juris Doctor (JD), active bar admission, or equivalent legal qualification and professional license.
• Advanced experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising commercial contracts, legal agreements, and policies.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex matters and identify risks.
• Expert ability to interpret laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance and translate them into actionable recommendations.

Education & Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
• Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, or quality assurance is a plus but not required.
