Red Team Lead (Offensive Security) | $50–90/hr | Worldwide Remote

MICRO1 is seeking an experienced Red Team Lead to drive offensive cybersecurity operations, simulate advanced threat scenarios, and help organizations strengthen their security posture. This is a high-impact contractor role for a seasoned professional who thrives on finding vulnerabilities before adversaries do.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute red team engagements, including full-scope adversarial simulations
• Design and deploy complex exploit chains to test organizational defenses
• Conduct assessments across cloud environments and application security (AppSec) domains
• Develop and apply controlled malware techniques and social engineering scenarios within ethical boundaries
• Collaborate with blue teams and stakeholders to communicate findings and remediation strategies
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to methodology development

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in offensive cybersecurity and red team operations
• Proficiency in building and executing exploit chains
• Hands-on experience with cloud security and application security testing
• Strong understanding of malware development and social engineering within legal and ethical frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive-level reporting

This is a fully remote contractor engagement offering competitive hourly compensation between $50 and $90 per hour, depending on experience and scope of work.
