Role Overview

As a Large Language Model Data Specialist, you will:

• Design and author challenging domain-specific prompts and problems to guide next-generation AI training.

• Review and refine high-impact data that informs core AI innovation.

• Communicate findings and recommendations with clarity via written reports and Slack discussions.

• Interface directly with AI lab researchers, providing expert feedback on data quality.

Required Qualifications

• STEM PhD (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering; Biology; Chemistry; Physics) from a top-tier university

• Proven attention to detail and ability to craft precise, technical content.

• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.

• Prior experience in AI model training, data annotation, or research is a strong plus.

Project Details

• Duration: Minimum 1–2 months, with rolling application and extension potential.

• Classification: Hourly contractor for Mercor, paid weekly via Stripe Connect.

• Onboarding: Short interview + paid task (20–30 min), plus up to 1 hour of onboarding videos.

• Locations: Open to applicants in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
