MICRO1 is seeking skilled Reporters & Correspondents to join our growing network of freelance journalism professionals. This remote contractor role is ideal for experienced journalists who excel at research, fact-checking, and crafting compelling narratives from complex source material.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough document-based research to support accurate and insightful reporting
• Perform rigorous source verification and fact-checking to ensure journalistic integrity
• Synthesize lengthy, complex documents into clear and concise written content
• Apply strong narrative structure techniques — including leads and the inverted pyramid — to produce engaging stories
• Deliver polished, publication-ready content within agreed deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in journalism, reporting, or editorial writing
• Strong command of research methodologies and source evaluation
• Ability to distill large volumes of information into focused, reader-friendly narratives
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Compensation
