About the Role:
Mercor is hiring Research Consultants with backgrounds in FBI interrogation, law enforcement, or criminal investigations for a part-time, remote opportunity. You will collaborate with a U.S. technology company exploring workforce behavior, operational integrity, and systems compliance within the home-care sector. Your expertise in investigative strategy, interrogation techniques, and behavioral pattern analysis will be critical to validating findings, designing discovery frameworks, and surfacing operational risk signals.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape and review investigative research design to ensure alignment with behavioral realities and system dynamics.
Assess data for coherence, consistency, and red flags—especially regarding scheduling integrity, labor behavior, and compliance systems.
Collaborate with research and strategy teams to identify soft signals and credibility risks.
Design frameworks that model behavior, incentives, and organizational workflows within the home-care industry.
Apply interviewing logic, deception awareness, and systems intuition to support high-impact research and analysis.
Ideal Qualifications:
Prior experience with federal or local investigations, particularly in interrogation, deception detection, or fraud prevention.
Deep understanding of human behavior, motives, conflict, and how these map to organizational systems.
Proven ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and high-risk patterns in testimony, behavior, or operations.
Skilled in structuring open-ended investigative tasks and validating third-party findings.
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Bonus Points:
Background in white-collar crime, public sector audits, or interrogation-based training programs.
Experience reviewing operational failures, misreporting, or systemic deception.
Knowledge of vulnerabilities in scheduling, workforce compliance, or claims workflows.
Familiarity with home-care, healthcare operations, or labor investigations.
Compensation & Legal Details:
Hourly pay based on experience and scope of engagement.
