Research Engineer – Algorithms & Code Generation | $50–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer specializing in algorithms and code generation to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a software engineering expert who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, optimizing performance, and working across multiple programming languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine algorithms with a focus on correctness and performance
• Contribute to code generation research and tooling within the software engineering domain
• Identify and fix bugs across large, complex codebases
• Implement new features in alignment with product and research goals
• Perform codebase refactoring to improve maintainability and scalability
• Optimize code for speed, memory efficiency, and overall performance

Required Skills

• Languages: Python 3, Java, Rust, TypeScript, C++ (fundamentals)
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Proven experience with bug fixing and feature implementation
• Hands-on expertise in codebase refactoring and performance optimization

Compensation & Details
