Restaurant & Hospitality Tech Expert at Mercor

Restaurant & Hospitality Technology Expert | £250–£350/hr | Remote (UK-Based)

Mercor is recruiting UK-based Restaurant and Hospitality Technology Experts for a paid research engagement with a leading client. This is a short-term, fully remote expert call project — ideal for seasoned professionals with hands-on experience in UK restaurant operations or restaurant technology platforms.

We Are Seeking Three Expert Profiles

• Profile 1 — COO / Operations Director at a UK Restaurant Group (c. 5–30 sites)
  Ideally someone with recent experience selecting and implementing a POS system and broader restaurant technology stack. The call will explore operational pain points, current tech stack across the restaurant workflow, purchasing criteria, product relevance, and barriers to switching providers.
• Profile 2 — Owner or Senior Operator at a Smaller Restaurant (c. 1–5 sites)
  Ideally from a different operating model than Profile 1 — such as QSR, fast casual, pub, café, or delivery-focused. The call will cover pain points, current tech stack, willingness to pay, buying criteria, support needs, and digitisation maturity at smaller operators.
• Profile 3 — (Former) Commercial or Product Director from a POS Vendor
  Someone with experience at a restaurant technology or POS company such as Toast, Lightspeed, Epos Now, or Square. The call will explore UK market structure, competitive dynamics, pricing and business models, sales dynamics, and product strengths, gaps, and differentiation.
