RF & Electromagnetic Engineering Expert | $80–95/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is partnering with a leading technology organization to place experienced RF and Electromagnetic Engineering Experts for a short-term, high-impact technical project. You'll apply deep industry knowledge to analyze and solve complex problems across RF systems, electromagnetics, antennas, propagation, and related engineering domains.

What You'll Do

• Solve complex technical problems involving RF and electromagnetic engineering principles
• Analyze RF/EM systems, components, antennas, circuits, and system architectures
• Apply electromagnetic theory and RF methodologies to real-world engineering scenarios
• Evaluate technical specifications, simulation results, and engineering data
• Assess design trade-offs, performance limitations, and proposed solutions
• Review and validate technical approaches, providing rigorous solutions and clear explanations
• Adhere to project-specific technical guidelines and evaluation criteria

Who Should Apply

• Experienced professionals in RF, Electromagnetic, Microwave, Antenna, or related engineering fields
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related discipline
• Strong foundation in electromagnetic theory, RF principles, and signal propagation
• Practical experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • RF and microwave systems
  • Antenna design and analysis
  • Electromagnetic simulation and modeling
  • RF circuits and components
  • EMC/EMI
  • Wireless communications, radar, or sensing
  • RF propagation and channel modeling
  • RF measurement and testing
• Familiarity with tools such as HFSS, CST, COMSOL, MATLAB, or ADS is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in RF Engineering, Electromagnetics, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with microwave or millimeter-wave systems, antenna arrays, phased arrays, beamforming, or MIMO
• Background in radar, wireless communications, satellite communications, or RF sensing
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation, RF characterization, and laboratory testing
• Ability to translate theoretical RF/EM concepts into practical engineering solutions
• Research experience or publications in RF, electromagnetics, or antennas is a plus
