Role Overview:

We're seeking a highly analytical computational biologist to craft challenging scientific problems and devise elegant computational solutions. You'll leverage your research background to create original, graduate-level problems using Python while ensuring rigorous accuracy and logical coherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop original, research-grade scientific problems incorporating Python programming and computational biology concepts
• Define problem categories, tags, and difficulty levels with precision
• Solve formulated problems using sound scientific principles, ensuring absolute accuracy and reliability
• Participate in two-tier peer review processes, evaluating problem and solution quality
• Collaborate proactively with reviewers and team leads, incorporating feedback to enhance content quality

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD candidate in Computational Biology or Bioinformatics
• At least one published peer-reviewed paper
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific applications
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration

Contract Details:

• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week (options: 20, 30, or 40 hrs/week)
• Availability: At least 4 hours daily with 4-hour overlap with PST
• Duration: 3-month contract with potential extension based on performance
• Type: Freelancer/contractor (no benefits or paid leave)
• Start Date: Next week
