Turing is looking for a computationally proficient PhD-level chemist to design and solve graduate-level scientific coding problems in Python, contributing to cutting-edge AI training data for frontier LLM research.

Role Overview:

As a Scientific Coding Contractor, you will craft challenging, research-grade problems in computational chemistry and develop rigorous Python-based solutions. Your work will directly support the development of advanced AI models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design original, graduate-level scientific problems involving Python-based scientific coding.
• Define problem categories, tags, and difficulty levels with precision.
• Solve formulated problems using sound scientific principles, ensuring accuracy and logical coherence.
• Participate in two-tier peer reviews, evaluating both problems and solutions for quality.
• Collaborate with reviewers and team leads, incorporating feedback promptly to refine content.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or current PhD Candidate in Computational Chemistry.
• At least one peer-reviewed publication.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for scientific computing.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Engagement Details:

• Commitment: Minimum 20 hrs/week (options: 20, 30, or 40 hrs/week); at least 4 hrs/day with 4-hour overlap with PST.
• Type: Freelance contractor (no medical/paid leave benefits).
• Duration: 3-month contract with potential for extension based on performance.
