Scientific Computing Expert | $80–100/hr | Worldwide Remote

We are seeking a skilled Scientific Computing Expert to join a dynamic sciences research team. In this contractor role, you will integrate cutting-edge AI tools into scientific workflows, tackle complex codebases, and help drive meaningful research outcomes through technical excellence and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply scientific computing expertise to support and advance research initiatives
• Integrate AI tools — including Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork — into existing scientific workflows
• Debug and navigate large, complex codebases to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Implement new features and enhancements aligned with research objectives
• Produce clear, thorough technical documentation to support team knowledge and continuity
• Articulate workflows and provide structured, actionable feedback to collaborators
• Communicate effectively — both in writing and verbally — with cross-functional stakeholders

Required Skills

• Strong background in scientific computing and sciences research
• Hands-on experience with AI tool integration in technical environments
• Proficiency with Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and/or Claude Cowork
• Demonstrated ability to debug and contribute to large codebases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to clearly articulate complex workflows

This is a fully remote contractor engagement offering $80–100/hr, ideal for a self-motivated expert passionate about the intersection of science and AI.
