Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to recruit expert Scientific Research Evaluators. In this role, you will assess AI-generated research reports across biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science — helping ensure accuracy, integrity, and methodological soundness in cutting-edge AI workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity
• Assess the correctness of experimental interpretations, statistical analyses, and research comparisons
• Verify scientific tables, compound properties, and measurement data using reputable academic and public sources
• Identify inconsistencies in methodology, data reporting, and scientific conclusions
• Complete evaluations independently within assigned deadlines
• Maintain consistency and precision across all tasks

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking professionals with a background in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline. Ideal candidates will have:

• 2–3 years of professional experience in laboratory research, scientific analysis, or applied research
• Experience working with experimental datasets, laboratory measurements, or controlled study results
• Strong understanding of statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation
• Experience comparing research findings across studies and evaluating methodological soundness
• Familiarity with chemical compound properties, material data, or physical measurement standards
• Experience interpreting environmental measurements or field data (a plus)
• Ability to source and validate scientific tables, datasets, and peer-reviewed research
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent written communication
• Comfort working independently and asynchronously

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field.

Role Details

• Schedule: Part-time, 20–40 hours/week with flexible scheduling
• Rate: $40–$60/hour depending on expertise
• Location: Fully remote, worldwide
