Senior Agent Engineer | $500/hr | Worldwide Remote

Mercor is seeking experienced engineers who have shipped production AI agents to join a high-impact, remote engagement. If you've built orchestration frameworks, eval harnesses, tool-use runtimes, multi-step workflows, or retrieval systems that agents call into — we want to hear from you.

What to Expect

• An async AI screening (~20 minutes) covering agent architectures, eval practices, and a walkthrough of recent work
• A live follow-up session for top candidates

Ideal Background

Any one of the following qualifications is sufficient:

• Individual contributor who built an in-house agent framework or cloud-agents runtime
• Experience building eval infrastructure for agents — offline and online, regression detection, cost/latency SLOs
• Hands-on work with tool-use, MCP, or orchestration layers
• Experience with memory, retrieval, or state-passing primitives for agents

Engagement Details

• Format: Fully remote, one-time commitment
• Rate: $500/hr — reflecting senior-to-staff engineering compensation bands
• Scope: Both frontier-lab and applied-product backgrounds are welcome
