Senior Artist / Graphic Designer | Contractor | Worldwide Remote

Turing is looking for a highly creative and versatile Senior Artist / Graphic Designer to produce bold, expressive, and character-driven visual assets across a wide range of styles. This is a contractor role requiring at least 4 hours per day (up to 40 hours/week) with 4 hours of overlap with PST.

Role Overview

In this role, you will balance artistic creativity with technical precision — generating dynamic visual content, adapting to diverse creative briefs, and documenting workflows in a structured, professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset Creation: Produce high-quality illustrations and visual assets based on detailed creative briefs.
• Character & Graphic Design: Develop character-driven and graphic visuals across multiple styles including cartoon, manga/anime, pop art, sticker designs, and sketching.
• Style Consistency: Deliver multiple asset variations while maintaining strict consistency in style, composition, line work, and color balance.
• Workflow Documentation: Document artistic prompts, design workflows, and asset metadata in a clear and structured manner.
• Collaboration & Iteration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, incorporate calibration feedback efficiently, and refine visual outputs to the highest standard.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience as a Cartoonist, Illustrator, Visual Artist, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of composition, color theory, lighting, line work, textures, and visual balance.
• Mastery of digital art tools: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Proven ability to adapt and maintain consistency across diverse art styles, including:
  • Cartoon & Comic Art
  • Manga & Anime
  • Pop Art
  • Sticker Style
  • Sketching & Drawing
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing visual versatility and multi-style digital illustration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and efficient time management.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Illustration, Visual Communication, or a related creative field.
