Senior Data Scientist | ~$45/hr | Remote (India) | 3-Month Contract

Join an exciting initiative working directly alongside researchers at a top-tier Frontier AI Lab. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will design challenging, real-world problems in data science, machine learning, and coding to test and improve state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs). You'll be embedded in a peer group of elite STEM and ML PhDs, playing a pivotal role in ensuring human-generated data meets the highest standards of accuracy, nuance, and utility for model training.

Key Responsibilities

• Agentic Oversight: Design and implement frameworks to guide, monitor, and validate data outputs from agentic taskers, ensuring alignment with gold-standard benchmarks.
• Methodology Development: Create innovative methodologies to enhance model performance through superior training data, including novel approaches to data collection and insight generation.
• AI Integration: Leverage AI models and tools to evaluate, synthesize, and interpret complex datasets, driving improvements in data quality.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key technical collaborator across Research, Engineering, and Product teams to define and uphold data excellence standards.
• Outcome Ownership: Navigate ambiguous problem spaces and influence stakeholders to ensure data intelligence outcomes align with product and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Education: PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 10+ years applying analytics to solve complex product or business challenges, including database querying and advanced statistical analysis.
• Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and automation.

Engagement Details

• Rate: ~$45/hour
• Commitment: Minimum 30 hours per week (weekdays)
