Senior Data Scientist | $100–150/hr | Remote (North America & Europe)

Join an elite peer group of top STEM and ML PhDs working directly with researchers at a top-8 Frontier AI Lab. In this high-impact contractor role, you will design challenging real-world problems in data science, machine learning, and coding to test and improve state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs). This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of AI through rigorous human data generation and agentic workflow oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agentic Oversight: Design and implement frameworks to guide, monitor, and validate data outputs from agentic taskers, ensuring alignment with gold-standard benchmarks.
  • Methodology Development: Create innovative methodologies to improve model performance through superior training data, including novel approaches to data collection and insight generation.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI models and tools to synthesize, evaluate, and interpret complex datasets, driving measurable improvements in data quality.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Research, Engineering, and Product teams as a key technical partner, defining data excellence standards across the organization.
  • Outcome Ownership: Navigate ambiguous problems and influence stakeholders to ensure data intelligence outcomes align with product and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: 10+ years using analytics to solve complex product or business problems, including database querying and advanced statistical analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and automation.

Engagement Details

  • Rate: $100–150/hour
  • Commitment: Minimum 30 hours/week (weekdays)
  • Employment Type: Contractor (no medical/paid leave benefits)
  • Duration: 3 months, with an expected start date of next week
