Role Overview

As a Senior Clinical Reviewer, you will lead review on complex dermatology cases, contribute to clinical evaluation frameworks, and serve as an expert advisor to client teams assessing AI model outputs. This role is ideal for dermatology faculty seeking a rigorous, intellectually engaging AI project that leverages their academic and clinical depth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead senior-level clinical review on complex or ambiguous dermatology cases.
  • Facilitate structured resolution of clinical disagreements among peer reviewers.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of clinical evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide expert advisory hours to client teams reviewing AI model outputs.
  • Author guideline-aligned clinical commentary on cases as needed.
  • Offer subspecialty consultation where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Faculty appointment at Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
  • Minimum 3 years post-residency completion.
  • Board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
  • Active medical license in good standing in at least one US state.
  • Active clinical practice.
  • Subspecialty fellowship training (dermatopathology, Mohs/procedural, pediatric, or complex medical dermatology).
  • Peer-reviewed publication record in dermatology journals.
  • Experience teaching residents or fellows.
  • Deep familiarity with current dermatology guidelines and strong written clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to lead and document clinical consensus.
  • Comfort with graphic medical images and clinical complexity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior exposure to clinical AI evaluation, digital health, or dermatology AI research.
  • Active involvement with AAD, ASDS, or other dermatology specialty societies.
  • Prior journal peer review or IRB/research committee experience.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Independent Contractor (1099), Pay Per Task
  • Hours: ~15 hrs/week average; up to 40 hrs/week during peak batches
  • Duration: 4 weeks (with potential for extension)
  • Format: Fully remote and asynchronous; occasional synchronous calls
