Senior Domain Expert — AI Research | $100–$170/hr | Worldwide Remote

AFTERQUERY is assembling a research cohort of senior domain experts to help evaluate how frontier AI models reason through complex, real-world problems. This is a unique opportunity to shape the standards of AI evaluation in your area of deep expertise — defining what correct and excellent truly look like.

This is research and evaluation work, not production engineering. You'll be authoring technical explanations, crafting challenging problems, and providing structured expert feedback — not shipping code or managing systems.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI model responses against expert-level benchmarks in your domain
• Define quality and correctness criteria for hard, specialist problems
• Author clear, structured technical feedback and explanations
• Contribute to a research program advancing frontier AI capabilities

Who You Are

• A senior practitioner who meets the experience and education bar for at least one track above
• Currently or recently active in your field — hands-on, not purely academic
• An excellent written communicator who can explain complex ideas clearly
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an async, remote environment

This is a contractor engagement offering $100–$170/hr depending on track and experience level.
