Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Agentic AI) | Full Time | Remote in US

A fast-growing enterprise AI company is seeking a Principal/Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end Agentic AI solution design, development, delivery, and optimization for multiple strategic enterprise customers. This role blends engineering, architecture, consulting, and customer partnership — with up to 25% travel for on-site engagements.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deliver robust Agentic AI systems across diverse industries and enterprise environments
• Collaborate closely with senior customer stakeholders and internal Product, Platform Engineering, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams
• Define technical strategy, lead complex deployments, and translate ambiguous business needs into scalable AI solutions
• Mentor engineering teams and establish reusable frameworks, standards, and delivery playbooks
• Drive engineering excellence across multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, retrieval optimization, and observability

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, B2B software, AI consulting, or technology consulting
• Proven track record leading complex, customer-facing engineering engagements
• Deep expertise in AI solution architecture: multi-agent systems, RAG, SLMs, LLMs, and multimodal AI
• Hands-on proficiency with Python, SQL, Go, Java, JavaScript, vector databases, and agentic system design
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, data engineering, full-stack development, and cloud/DevOps environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including advising C-level executives
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field

Bonus Skills

• Experience with regulatory, compliance, security, and governance requirements for enterprise AI
• Published work or open-source contributions in Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, or Knowledge Graph communities
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, SLM/LLM fine-tuning, and large-scale AI platform optimization
• Background in observability, monitoring, telemetry, and auditable AI systems
• Experience representing a company at industry events or strategic partnership discussions
