Senior FreeCAD Engineer | $40–100/hr | Worldwide Remote | Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior FreeCAD Engineer to join our team as a contractor. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with deep expertise in parametric CAD modeling, Python scripting, and design for manufacturing. You will play a key role in developing and automating complex CAD workflows while ensuring engineering quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop detailed 3D models and assemblies using FreeCAD
• Create and maintain parametric models to support iterative design processes
• Write and maintain Python scripts to automate CAD workflows and improve efficiency
• Produce accurate technical drawings with proper GD&T annotations
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize parts for production
• Conduct engineering QA reviews to validate designs against specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development lifecycle
