MICRO1 is seeking a highly skilled Senior FreeCAD Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic team as a specialist contractor. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with deep expertise in parametric CAD modeling, automation, and design for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex parametric models and assemblies using FreeCAD
- Write and maintain Python scripts to automate CAD workflows and design processes
- Create detailed technical drawings with proper GD&T annotations
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize designs for production
- Conduct thorough engineering QA reviews to ensure design accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver precise, manufacturable designs on schedule
Required Skills
- FreeCAD — advanced proficiency in parametric and assembly design
- Python Scripting — experience with CAD automation and tooling
- Mechanical Engineering — strong foundational knowledge
