About the Role
micro1 is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for remote contract work. This is an expert-level role focused on mechanical design, from parametric modeling through to production-ready tolerancing.
What the Work Involves
- Applying design intent and assembly reasoning to mechanical designs
- Parametric modeling at depth, building robust and editable CAD models
- Designing and evaluating mechanisms with a strong sense of kinematics
- Applying GD&T and sound tolerance judgment to drawings and assemblies
- Working fluently with CAD tools
Who This Role Is For
This is an expert-level position. You should have deep, demonstrated experience in the skills above, including advanced parametric CAD modeling and practical GD&T and tolerance decision-making.
Pay and Schedule
This is a contractor position paying $40-90/hr, depending on experience.
