Senior Ranking Data Scientist | $95–130/hr | Remote (US)

Join a high-impact data science team where you'll drive meaningful improvements to machine learning ranking models using complex, high-dimensional datasets. This is a full-time, W-2 role placed through Cincinnatus, an enterprise staffing partner embedded within a leading technology company's internal team.

What You'll Do

• Apply expertise in statistics, machine learning, and advanced mathematics to uncover patterns, identify opportunities, and deliver data-driven discoveries that improve products.
• Leverage computer vision, feature extraction, and ML algorithms to identify key drivers of content shareability on a large-scale social media platform.
• Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms to maximize value from large datasets.
• Generate and test hypotheses; analyze and interpret results from product experiments.
• Collaborate with product engineers to translate prototypes into scalable features and services.
• Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, including customer-facing dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.
• Conduct metric movement investigations for key recommendation products.
• Prepare and deliver weekly leadership reporting.
• Identify target user segments to inform short- and long-term product strategy.

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field (PhD preferred); or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytics or data science.
• Fluency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience building models with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience training and/or deploying computer vision models.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets.
