Senior Software Engineer (Golang) | Contractor | 40 hrs/week | Worldwide Remote

In this role, you'll combine hands-on software engineering with AI research — analyzing real-world codebases, evaluating LLM performance, and helping shape high-quality AI evaluation benchmarks.

What You'll Do

• Analyze and triage issues across popular open-source repositories.
• Set up, configure, and Dockerize development environments for real-world codebases.
• Run, modify, debug, and test projects locally to ensure reliable execution workflows.
• Evaluate unit test coverage, reliability, and overall test quality.
• Assess LLM performance on bug-fixing and software engineering tasks.
• Identify challenging repositories and issues for AI evaluation benchmarks.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design high-quality evaluation scenarios.
• Review code and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Lead or coordinate small teams when required.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, especially Python or Golang.
• Practical experience with Git and Docker.
• Solid understanding of software development pipelines and CI workflows.
• Ability to navigate, understand, and modify complex codebases.
• Strong debugging, code review, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical findings clearly.

• Hours: 40 hours/week with at least 4 hours/day overlap with PST
• Type: Contractor
