Senior Software Engineer | Rust
Pay: $100 to $200 per hour • Remote Contract • Flexible Hours
Mercor is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with deep Rust expertise for advanced research projects with leading AI labs. Candidates must be based in the United States or Europe.
These projects involve tasks such as debugging, refactoring, and creating test cases for large and complex codebases.
Debug, refactor, and optimize high-performance Rust codebases.
Write and maintain test suites for complex systems.
Collaborate with prominent AI researchers and engineering teams.
Ensure code quality, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
3+ years of experience in production-grade backend systems using Rust.
Strong knowledge of concurrent programming and systems-level development.
Significant contributions to open-source Rust projects or demonstrable advanced Rust expertise.
Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, fully remote environment.
Fully remote work with flexible scheduling.
Minimum 10 hours per week, with the option to increase to 40 hours based on performance and project needs.
