Senior Strategic Project Lead
Job Type: Full-time (San Francisco or NYC)
Compensation: $150K–$170K base salary (USD) + equity grant + commission-based bonus (total average comp over $500K)

About the Role:
As a Senior Strategic Project Lead (SSPL) at Mercor, you’ll be at the center of project execution for leading AI clients—driving millions in revenue, building high-performing expert teams, and delivering top-tier service. You’ll report directly to Mercor’s President or Head of Operations and have an outsized impact on our company’s growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate $10M+ in revenue by executing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects for top AI labs and tech companies
Source, vet, and manage hundreds of domain experts across fields like software engineering, medicine, and law
Build and maintain strong relationships with AI researchers and clients—anticipating needs and identifying opportunities for project expansion
Collaborate closely with the Operations team to implement project strategies, optimize processes, and ensure client satisfaction
Work alongside Engineering & Machine Learning teams to improve the Mercor platform
What We’re Looking For:
4–8+ years of experience in consulting, finance, startups, or an MBA (or equivalent leadership background)
Exceptional analytical, communication, and client management skills
Track record of customer-facing project delivery and performance
Compensation & Perks:
Base salary: $150K–$170K
Generous equity grant (4-year vesting)
Commission-based cash and equity bonuses (average annual bonus: $75K cash, $150K equity; equity vests over 4 years)
Average SSPL total compensation over $500K including commission
$20K relocation bonus (if moving to Bay Area)
$10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of HQ)
